Delicious Snow Ice Cream Recipe

We finally got some snow in Virginia! Besides building a pitiful snowman (Dave called it an anthill), we also decided to give snow ice cream a try. I had no idea how delicious it could be!

Here's the recipe:

1 cup Milk
1/3 cup Brown Sugar (you could also use white granulated sugar, but the brown sugar complements the vanilla nicely)
1 tsp. Vanilla Extract
10 cups of Snow!

1. Whisk together the milk, brown sugar, and vanilla. Run outside and find some clean snow. You could also put a bucket outside when it starts snowing, but who thinks that far ahead? For me, this meant getting snow from the front yard, not the backyard where the dogs and chickens, ahem, do their business. Go wherever the clean snow is!

2. Fold the snow into the milk/sugar mixture.

3. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Snow ice cream makes a good bribe for getting kids to eat their dinner. It didn't work on my kid, but maybe it will work on yours! Here's hoping. . .
